If you search for Palm Harbor online, you’ll discover that the news is out. The internet is telling everyone that this is one of the best places to live in Florida. Of course, you knew that already. Most of us own our homes here. That makes sense when you live in a residential community. It also makes sense to be prepared for the hurricane season. Have you considered window replacement falling into that category?
Our impact windows are a great defense against the onslaught of a hurricane. We build them to withstand wind-tossed debris. Windows that remain intact can make the difference as to whether or not your home withstands the storm. When the windows blow out or are smashed by flying debris, your home is at the mercy of the storm. It could sustain catastrophic damage.
Moreover, everything that’s not nailed down becomes ammunition for the storm. If your family is inside, they are at great risk of injury. Not only that, the wind immediately begins searching for an escape route. Our homes aren’t airtight. The wind pushes through every tiny crack it finds building pressure behind it. Meanwhile, the storm rages on outside.
The combined forces have destroyed many homes. Window replacement using Reece’s impact windows increases your home’s structural integrity.
Reece to the rescue
Reece Builders / Windows has been in business for nearly 50 years. Michael Reece, Sr. founded the company in 1972. His business plan was simple. To provide homeowners with high-quality windows and doors that last a lifetime. Putting a focus on exceptional customer service from day one has been a key to our success also.
Randy Reece operates the business these days, but he hasn’t strayed from his father’s initial plan of operation. It obviously works. Not only do we treat our customers with the utmost respect, but we understand the importance of treating our employees that way too. We discovered early on that treating employees as part of the family has a ripple effect. They pass the good vibes on to our customers.
When our customers experience the “Reece treatment,” they can’t help but spread the word. Not only did they find windows built to perfection at an affordable price, but they received the added pleasure of meeting our crew. A big smile coupled with our focus on providing complete customer satisfaction can’t be overlooked in today’s fast-paced world.
We don’t use contracted installers as many of our competitors do. Instead, we train our installers to expertly install your new windows. In addition, they’re taught the importance of not only providing a job well done, but they also learn the value of spreading a little joy along the way. The end result is a win-win for all involved. We’re proud to say that we’ve become one of the leading window and door companies in the area.
Our windows
We construct our windows to take a punch. We adhere tempered glass to either side of a sheet of high-tech polymer. The polymer sheet provides you with a clear view of the world while greatly increasing the strength of your windows.
To qualify as an impact resistant window, our windows go through a series of tests put in place by the FBC (Florida Building Code). Tests include the large and small missile tests as well as assuring they can withstand the wind and rain that a hurricane brings.
The missile tests involve shooting a nine-pound 2×4 and steel ball bearings directly at the window. Windows can crack, even spiderweb, but they must not break apart. We still find that amazing!
Added value
In addition to providing excellent storm protection, Reece Windows & Doors have other benefits that we think you’d like to know.
- Break-ins – If our impact windows can withstand the impact of a hurricane, the odds are an intruder isn’t going to hang around after an attempt to smash your window is met with a resounding thud.
- Energy efficiency – Reinforced windows do an excellent job at keeping the cool air in and the stifling heat out! Our windows meet or exceed Energy Star guidelines.
- Noise reduction – Traffic, barking dogs, and neighborhood kids at play are all muffled or completely alleviated. You can go about your day undistracted by what’s happening around the neighborhood. If a nap sounds like a plan, by all means, go for it!
- UV protection – Reece Windows & Doors block nearly 100% of the sun’s damaging UV rays. No more worries about faded carpet, wall decor, or furniture!
- Lower insurance premiums – Many insurance companies offer premium discounts for homeowners that make safety improvements.
FAQs
Are Reece Windows & Doors affordable?
Yes, they are. We build and expertly install your windows using our own strict company guidelines. Window replacement provides your family with added protection from storms and intruders. They are extremely energy efficient. Therefore, technically they begin to pay for themselves the moment we complete installation. The UV protection is a big plus as well. All in all, we believe our windows are very affordable.
Can I do the window replacement job myself?
Actually, we wouldn’t recommend it. It can be dangerous. Our installers are experts and were taught to keep a focus on safety. Moreover, installation is part of our Lifetime Guarantee. You don’t want to do without that!
What do I need to do before you arrive?
It will be great if you will clear a path to the work area by moving furniture out of the way. Taking down the window dressings, security sensors, and wall decor helps a lot too. Thanks! We appreciate it.
Will I need to be there or can I leave a key?
We ask that an adult be present at the home while we complete your installation process. It’s company policy. We’ll be inside and feel it’s best if you are too.
Are you going to leave a mess?
No way. We leave everything just like we found it. We haul your old windows and any other debris to the landfill for proper disposal.
